Large Gothic trellis
Project Brief
This eight panel, twenty five foot, length of trellis was designed to run along an outbuilding adjacent to a garden path. The building’s south facing elevation had many vining plantings and shrubs which required support. The trellis design featured Tudor and Gothic elements that referenced the architecture of the site. The eight-foot tall central panel included elongated quatrefoil tracery. Smith Shop designed, forged, fabricated, and installed these trellises.

Gothic Trellis Tryptic
Project Brief
This trellis tryptic was designed for a small a courtyard where the client was cultivating seasonal shrubs. The trellises feature traditional joinery and a variety of floral finials. The central panel rises to just over nine feet tall. Smith Shop designed, forged, fabricated, and installed these trellises.

Shade Trellises
Project Brief
This pair of Norman-Gothic inspired trellises were designed for shaded area along a garden path adjacent to an outbuilding where the client was cultivating low-light vine and potted plantings. The six and a half foot tall trellises feature built in support rings that hold 8” pots. The tracery along the bottom margin help to anchor the upward sweeping composition. Smith Shop designed, forged, fabricated, and installed these trellises.
